You’re getting feedback. Getting feedback is one of the functions of mindfulness.<br /><br />Next step—kindness. Send kindness, warmth, and friendliness to your feelings of stress. Feel the stress like you’d hold a young baby, a delicate flower, or a cuddly bear. Be with the sensations using your heart, not just your head. Sometimes it’s for gain (for instance exaggerating our role so that we gain praise); sometimes it’s because of fear (we thing that if people know the truth we’ll lose their esteem); and sometimes it’s out of ill will (we want to hurt someone). When we start to consider that when we lie we’re like puppets having our strings pulled by these negative emotions of craving, fear, and ill will, honesty becomes a kind of freedom.<br /><br />Sure, there are times when it’s best to leave thoughts unspoken – we need not only to practice honesty but also to practice kindness. And we need to speak at the right time. Trying to make “helpful” suggestions, no matter how well intended, can backfire when the other person is stressed or otherwise upset.<br /><br /><br /><br />But one of the main kinds of truthful speech that we need to practice in order to bring more lovingkindfulness into our lives is something very simple. When we've done something hurtful to ourselves then we should be prepared to apologize or to confess what we've done to another.</span><br /> <br /> The Ten Stages is a studied recovery course. Instead, the brain zaps the information from the thalamus, the brain’s sensory input centre, to a tiny almond-shaped nerve centre, called the amygdala, in the midsection of the brain, used for emergency processing.<br /><br />At the amygdala’s command, orchestrated in milliseconds, the heart rate quickens, and respiration and blood pressure increase. Noncritical sensory information is tuned out and activity in the hippocampus is suppressed so we can concentrate on self-preservation.<br /><br />When the threat persists beyond a few seconds, other neurophysiological and functional processes kick in to disengage us from the outside world and routine sensations. Heart rate and blood pressure suddenly drop, and we may feel as though we are floating. We may be unable to speak — or scream. We might “blank out,” faint or experience phenomena outside the realm of what we consider normal. Such responses may inhibit the ability to readily retrieve details later.<br /><br />Automobile accident victims who dissociate, for example, are frequently unable to recall the moment of impact while others describe experiencing the crash in slow motion. Adult rape victims who dissociate during their attacks often report observing the assaults rather than experiencing them. The bad news for some is that our child within is buried so deep due trauma experienced during childhood and later years that re-connection seems impossible.<br /><br />Second, we have to want to recover. Picture the image of your painful thought and emotion wrapped in a warm blanket, being held with very loving care closely to your heart, your chest, as we extend it very sincere compassion from our heart centre. Next, mentally (or verbally) say to the image that we know it’s there and we promise to care for and hold it with compassion until it’s ready to go. It’s no surprise that parents, either overtly or covertly, symbolise so much in our subconscious, especially when our primary traumas start to bubble up.<br /><br /><br />We have learned advanced coping strategies that are strongly connected with our paralysis of thought and deed we have become frozen. Extreme traumatic experiences cause us psychosis and depression. And we the most traumatised of people do relive their trauma while awake – by actively recreating the surroundings of our first traumatic episodes propagating delusions of blame, shame and constant rescue.Recreating our primary abusers and traumatizers as friends constantly replaying the scenario within our own minds to gain a better outcome that never,never materialises.<br /><br /><br />Denial is involved to facilitate more abuse. our society denies all but the most intense traumas and minimises the rest; most of us do the same with our recovery. In this vein, we believe that we had a happy, non-traumatic childhood and are having a wonderful recovery this is constantly reinforced by others behaviour and others faulty recollections.<br /><br /><br />We then always have to involve our primary repetition compulsion. We are compulsively replicating our unresolved traumas in an attempt to heal them.<br /><br /><br />These further succeed in rupturing the borders of our disturbed personality. Traumatic experiences force their way through the self like a nail through a board, whereas in meditation a breathing time of peace allows the selfs attempt to pull the nail out of the board or at least not further traumatise the unresolved trauma of the past.<br /><br /><br />As such, both involve the essence of our life’s process. Traumatic experiences destroy life; meditation opens the door for hope to reclaim them and the ten stages coupled with the child within offers the tools to deal with them.<br /><br />The Selfs recovery is likened to the classic rescue of the Count of Monte Cristos reinstatement back into the world and takes time, patience, gentleness and deep understanding.</span><br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The Ten Stages is a studied recovery course. And then wake up one day wondering, “How did I get here?”<br /><br />And that’s a day that creeps up on us – and usually by the time it hits us, we’ve wasted so much time, we can’t begin to understand where it all went.<br /><br />Dreams don’t die upon an announcement – they slide into death, one subtle moment, choice, and day at a time.<br /><br />There’s no big wake up call, just a slow dimming of our internal passion, enthusiasm, and joy. We sell our dreams for certainty. We are terrified of our freedom. Because we got hurt, things didn’t work out the way that we wanted them too, or we just don’t think it’s possible. And then we lower our standards so that we don’t get our hopes up.<br /><br /><br /><br />And somewhere inside all of this is a small whisper from our child within that is dying to be re-born. A part of us that knows we were meant for greatness. Not to be a celebrity or to be admired, but greatness in the form of changing our world, making it a better place, adding value, helping others – really making a positive mark.<br /><br /><br /><br />But, it’s scary. In a mindful manner we speak and listen to our depths for guidance. </span><div> <span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace; font-size: large;">This practice keeps us firmly rooted on our path and opens the way to the truth that the genius in our child within has been waiting a lifetime to manifest.This has been our experience during the roadshow. Having grieved our traumatic history we are aware that our life force is no longer held captive by ancient shackles and old parental controls. We are no longer blocked by an impenetrable wall of traumas, defences, and self-hating voices. Our freed energy allows us the deepest connection to the best of ourselves enhancing our personal power. However, we do not abuse our power to dominate others or to exploit the material world. If we do, we are only deluding ourselves. Our sole desire for aligning with truth and its power is to guide us to our life’s calling. </span><div> <span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace; font-size: large;">Liberation and freedom of the child within.Words cannot express my thanks to fellow stagers and the people we have met to the three men and a dog who shared in the toilet paper experience of finding true abiding friendship whilst painfully rejecting all other routes.To the friends we made whilst breaking bread this has been the start of the regeneration of our children within and true intuitive communication inside Austria,Spain and Portugal.<br /></span><br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The Ten Stages is a studied recovery course.
