At The Ten Stages we find we are at the crossroads of our old dissociated life and our new life we intuitively know that the only way to release our dissociated history is to grieve. 

We approach this profound knowledge slowly—and deliberately. We would feel overwhelmed if we leapt precipitously into shedding our lifetime of dissociation into dismantling the shadow self that has for so long shielded us from harsh realities of our childhood coping strategies. 

The loss of the illusion of idealised parental love is disturbing, yet easy to underestimate. It is wrenching to surrender, but we cannot move forward until we do. 

So we slow down and prepare ourselves. We nurture our new healthy lifestyle. 

We optimize our fellow students. We work to respect the natural timing of our recovery process. We become masters of patience learning about intulexia. 

We become entirely ready to grieve our past dissociations and to let of go of our shadow self.




The Ten Stages is a studied recovery course.
