Every addiction arises from an unconscious refusal to face and move through our own pain. Every addiction starts with pain and ends with pain. Whatever the substance we are addicted to - alcohol, food, legal or illegal drugs, or a person - we are using something or somebody to cover up our pain. We have once more escaped into the depths of our dissociation we attempt to escape from the reality of our world. Gently at the ten stages we reconnect to our lost childhood friend the child that is hidden within and break out into our sunshine of our re-discovered intuitive voice.
