Recovered Stagers have learned through hard experience that true love comes from the true self. From this knowledge, integrated deeply into them, they now engage in a love affair with themselves and with truth. They no longer expect others to fulfill the unmet needs of childhood or to heal the deficits they carried from their parents. They consciously love themselves and the developing child within them. They have relinquished the childish fantasy that another is coming to rescue them through romantic love. Thus they embody the following truth: that each of us, individually, is the real love of our own life. They give and receive love to themselves first, and form bonds with others only as a secondary consequence of this. Their deepest sense of oneness comes not with another but with their own true selves. This is the marriage within. The child this marriage bears is what our wounded world most desperately craves: new consciousness, new wisdom, and new right action. And when they do form loving bonds with others, they give without expectation and they receive with open heart.


The Ten Stages is a studied recovery course. It is a source of reconnection a method of unlearning and a reintroduction to our child within which leads us back to our one true intuitive voice.We start to learn and come out of our protective dysfunctional shell and reclaim our lives.
