Honesty is the channel of truth between recovery and the mind in the ten stages.We who have had to nurture it are imbued with a great deal of power: the power to see, the power to know, the power to differentiate, the power to reflect, the power to choose, the power to speak the truth, and ultimately the power to grow.


We have developed dishonesty in an attempt to gain control and power our selfish power. We live as victims, strapped into the childhood ruts our parents lovingly beat us into. We become children of the lie not only to our closest intimates but to ourselves. Our inner truth is dangerous because it connects with all our years of buried pain and rage and sadness and hurt. If it are to explode it will crush our fragile external lives forcing us to realise just how unloved we are by ourselves and our present intimates and how unloved they were in their childhoods by those entrusted to guide their existences.


But at the same time this realisation, our realisation will free our real purpose for being. Suddenly our lives will generate hope – and a path towards our peace. This peace will disturb us, as it has disturbed some, but at least they would come into and know reality knowing for once who we really are.
